Why Air Line by J Sink
The Air Line by J Sink's hookah diving system consists of proprietary U.S. made scuba compressors from Thomas Industries, one of the largest air compressor manufacturers in the world, mounted on Honda commercial grade engines. By working with industry giant, Thomas Industries, The Air Line by J Sink re-powered and reconfigured an existing technology, proven in the construction industry, and tweaked it for our niche market. The features explained below are common to all gas-powered Air Line hookah diving systems.
Features
- Developed direct drive for dive compressors in 1998. Introduced the new, Air Line hookah technology in May 1999, based upon the proven technology of compressor giant, Thomas Industries.
- The Air Line by J Sink's hookah dive compressors incorporate specific marine protection features, inside and out: Acrylic, electro coating on housing, head, cover, valve-plate, and piston rod top provide unparalleled resistance to the marine environment.
- Fully vented, unobstructed scuba compressor cover for bearing heat reduction. This vented dive compressor cover accomplished multiple purposes.
- The operating temperature of the bearings is reduced by 50 degrees, a signification factor in service life. This is accomplished by heat dissipation through the large vent which is aided by a large, shaft-mounted, cooling fan.
- After the dive day, the bearing and rod can be rinsed with fresh water to remove salt deposits, without any disassembly. Our detractors claim that the vented cover encourages intrusion of salt. But think about this: A compressor will generate heat, which must, somehow, be exhausted. All compressors have at least slits for that purpose. Salty air WILL intrude. If you can't easily deal with washing it out, you can expect eventual failure.
- The Air Line by J Sink's hookah dive compressors are U.S. made to precise standards, and assembled to Honda motors by Thomas technicians at their Louisiana and Florida facilities.
- The Air Line by J Sink's commercial quality, continuous duty compressors are engineered to run all day, every day, at 3,400 to 3,600 rpm.
- Commercial grade Honda engines are durable, heavy-duty, and easy to start.
- High-flow, solid-brass, nickel-plated, glass-like swivel fittings. Essentially indestructible. Maximum air.
- Multidirectional 360° swivel hose fittings on regulators to eliminate jaw fatigue. Individual 60' down hoses for maximum air volume (which is what you are buying) and greater freedom around obstructions, such as rock formations and wrecks.
- Divers each have their own diver hose, so they are not "yoked" together (except at the compressor at the surface, of course).
Compare these features to our competition and you'll see why The Air Line by J Sink's hookah diving equipment is the best choice for a durable, easy to use system that will provide you with years of enjoyment.
